✓Plano - Plano Open Data portal, code violations dataset
✓Fort Worth - data.fortworthtexas.gov, code violations dataset
✓Arlington - the city ArcGIS open-records code enforcement layer
✓Other DFW cities often require a phone or email request to the code department (no public portal yet).

How to read what you find

Focus on: is the violation OPEN or closed; how recent (the last 6 months matters most); and the type - structural, health/sanitation, and infestation violations are far more serious than a tall-grass notice. A complex with multiple open, recent, health-related violations is telling you something.
